Green Bean Casserole Recipe

The first holiday after my daughter was diagnosed with Celiac Disease, we learned things like “cream of” soups contained gluten. The french fried onions do as well. We have tried several brands for each ….

Pacific is great brand for carrying all of the “cream of” soups! This year (2024), Campbell’s has added Gluten-Free to some of their soups. We found the consistency of the Campbell’s brand to be more along the lines of their non gluten free products and this consistency transferred to the consistency of the dish itself.

Any gluten free soy sauce will do for this recipe. many people think Tamari is automatically gluten free. It too can have gluten so ensure the packaging says “Gluten Free” before you purchase/use.

Green Bean Casserole

Ingredients:

1 can Campbell’s GF Cream of Mushroom Soup

1/2 cup Milk

1 teaspoon GF Soy Sauce

dash Ground Pepper

4 cups Frozen or Fresh Green Beans, cooked

1 1/3 cup GF French Fried Onions

Directions:

Preheat Oven: 350 degrees

  1. Mix all ingredients minus 1/2 of the GF french fried Onions

  2. Sprinkle 1/2 onions reserved on top of casserole

  3. Bake until hot and bubbly (around 20-25 minutes)
